Unicorns are rare, as I understand it. I haven't seen any, that's for sure. But it may be that they just do not live where I was looking. But now I've found one anyway. It comes from Chinese SRM - Stay Ready for More. It is a somewhat unusual knife to come from them as the knives in their new line-up, like the previously reviewed models 9201 and 7228, are clearly simpler knives in terms of materials.
In this case, it is instead a knife with titanium as the main material and with upgraded blade steel . The model is called Unicorn and is new not only for me but in SRM's model program.

The titanium is of course found in the handle, but you could say that SRM has skimped on it. Not that the handle is excessively small but by design, it's skeletonized. It gives a visually interesting knife. This very element is enhanced by the dramatic upward-sweeping Persian-inspired blade. A form I'm usually not completely sold on but variety is fun and here it is nicely done.
The blade that has been given this look is made of 154CM, which is a step up in relation to the D2-steel that is found in most SRM knives. The knife also offers a couple of accentuating dots of blue around the screws that hold the knife together.
Otherwise, it can be said that it is a knife with a very quick opening via a flipper tab and that it locks with a good frame lock.
It also gives the impression of being well-built and it is also well-balanced. Something I'm a little picky about so it's appreciated. And it has a property that comes from a combination of appearance and that the stock thickness is kept to 3 mm, Unicorn is extremely light. The knife weighs in at under 50g.
A review of this little knife will of course come!
