New Knife - Viper Italo

Sometimes it happens that you look at knives for a very long time without actually buying them. This knife called  Italo was such a knife for me. It has been on my radar for a long time, but I never hit that "buy button". As you can understand, it is therefore not completely new on the market. But now when I got one in hand, I'm very pleased about it!

Like most knives Viper has in its catalog, it is available in several different configurations. You can have it with grips in G10 in different colors, with handles made entirely of titanium or carbon fiber and with damask blades if desired. This happens to be in the orange G10, which is hard to miss.

Viper Italo design by Fabrizio Silvestrelli

Italo is designed by the well-known Fabrizio Silvestrelli. What he has achieved in this case is a knife with a very personal look where the blade is reminiscent of some traditional Italian knife patterns while both it, material, and construction are very modern. In this case, it means G10 in the handle, blades that run on ball bearings, and is made of high-quality M390. The package is rounded off with a liner lock in steel and backspacer and wire clip in titanium.

As a small bonus, this is one of the few knives I know that can be opened in no less than five different ways. Beat it if you can!

A review will, of course, follow.
