Contrasts are often what make things interesting in life and therefore I will present a knife from MKM that is radically different from the last one I wrote about called Root.
This model is named Hero and is almost the antithesis of Root. Where the latter is a small and light slip joint with a wooden handle and a sheep's foot blade, this one is none of that.

On the contrary, Hero is a large and sturdy folding knife. Here, the Italian designer Tommaso Rumici has gone wild. Given what I know of him, I firmly believe he had the outdoors in mind when he designed this knife.
The drop point blade measures almost nine centimeters but the knife is mainly characterized by a large and comfortable handle which is certainly quite thin. But despite that and the fact that both the bolster and frame are made of titanium, the knife weighs 175 grams according to the manufacturer. In addition to that material, G10 is found in the handle sides and exclusive M390 steel in the blade. The blade opens with the help of thumb studs and it locks with a classic back lock.
Titanium is also found in the reversible clip and as an anodized dash of color in the collar around the pivot.
In addition to the choice of materials, there are several details that make this an exclusive knife. Among them can be mentioned that the bolster and frame are made in one piece, that the blade runs on ball bearings, and that the spine of the blade is elegantly rounded.
Overall, an interesting knife from MKM that I intend to test in the spring. A report follows, of course.
