Small and pointy, you know dagger shape is it really THE most practical blade shape on a folding knife? Well, it's not, but is it pretty? Yes, it is! And for that very reason, I have this version of the MKM Flame Light. A knife designed by Michael Zieba.
If you don't like small knives with dagger blades, Flame Light is also available with a flat ground drop-point blade.

Otherwise, there is very little that has changed with the addition of "Light" to the name. Of course, the knife has become a few grams lighter because the titanium side is gone. The difference between the all-titanium version and this one is particularly noticeable. Then the weight has been reduced from 70 g to 55 g. In the versions that already have a presentation side in Micarta, the difference is even smaller as the starting point was only 59 g.
Mainly it is the lock that has changed. Instead of a frame lock, there is a liner lock that holds the blade in place. Something I don't mind at all. Any disadvantages that would exist are erased by the symmetrical appearance achieved with two sides in the same material. In this case, you can choose between three shades of canvas-Micarta.
Otherwise, the materials are recognizable as the pivot collar is made of titanium and the blade is made of M390 steel. The clip is somewhat simpler, made of spring steel instead of titanium as found in its slightly more expensive relative.
The length is just under 18 cm, 176 mm of which the blade measures 72 mm. A small knife in other words. But very pretty if I do say so myself! In addition, very well made it seems. A report will come sometime in the near future.
