February

I'm about a month into the new year, still learning how to write 2026. It's been a cold year, it turns out. We still have what's called a "national ice day", meaning sub-zero temperatures throughout the country. Where I am, that currently means around -7°C and wind gusts of around 10 m/s, which has decreased from 14 m/s yesterday. Chilly enough.

The question is, does that affect my relationship with knives? The fact is that it does. I'm not out as much and therefore have more time to get some text printed. More writing, in other words. Then, unfortunately, the weather has a negative effect on knife throwing. Last year, I was able to train relatively late into December. Not so this season. In addition, I haven't been able to throw a single knife so far.

Outdoor life mostly involves forest walks and the occasional bonfire by a lake at the moment. That's probably where it'll stay for the time being as I'm neither a winter sports fan nor a hunter/fisherman. But of course, knives to accompany me on the trips.

Then it has turned out that the whole thing about making plans goes awry. They tend to fall through. Especially when I haven't been feeling my best, damn darkness.

But I think I've got a few new knives and they'll be presented and the list of reviews I presented a month ago remains. Of those, however, my thoughts on the Civivi Clingman are the first to come out as that text is almost finished.

With that said, see you!
