New Knife - Al Mar Hawk Classic

Well, I guess I must confess, it was just a matter of time. But now it's here, the smallest in Al Mar classic series called Hawk. Sometimes called 2.5" honey jigged bone or AMK7002

Basically, it's the same design as the larger knives in the series. A classic-built knife with an equally classic look.

Al Mar 2.2" honey jigged bone a k a Hawk Classic

Classic means a brass frame with bolsters in stainless steel and sides in "honey jigged bone" or bone that has been treated to look more like stag. The blade has the same shape as the larger models but measures only 2.5 inches or 64 mm in length and is 2 mm thick, or rather thin. The steel is also the same as for the rest of the series and that means AUS8. Using that Japanese steel is almost a tradition for Al Mar by now, one that they perhaps should abandon soon. The lock offers no surprises either since it's a back lock in Al Mars's typical fashion. After all, it was they who popularized "mid locks".

As the classic knife it is, it has no clip but comes with a simple but well-sewn case in thick leather to protect your precious knife from unnecessary wear.
