New Knife - Graf Knives T5 Juggle

Sometimes I have no desire to be moderate. Therefore, this knife was acquired. The same relationship seems to apply to Michał Prądzyński, the man behind Polish Graf Knives. This model is called T5 Juggle and according to the introductory text is also suitable for juggling for those who are set in that direction.

To make it possible, this knife is front-heavy. It's one of the very few knives I have that is. Usually, it is not my preference but there are exceptions to confirm rules as you know.

But it is not the balance that is most striking with this knife. That's the format! This is a whopper and thus my biggest throwing knife. Nota bene, not the heaviest for that title so far is held by my Woodpeckers from Pierre Cazoulat which weighs in at 460 grams. The T5 Juggle weighs slightly less but is still over four hectograms.

In return, the 420 grams are spread over a full 37.5 cm length. In addition, the width is quite large to be of this arrow-shaped type of throwing knife. More specifically 57 mm, which is three millimeters below the approved maximum format for a competition knife.

The name Juggle is not so far-fetched as this look is one of the basic types of knives used for rotational throwing in, among other circus contexts.

The thickness is 5 mm and the material is the by Graf Knives often used spring steel 4140, which then has a layer of zinc on top. The coating protects against rust while being a bit "self-healing", that is, dents tend to appear in the material rather than chips.
