It's not every day you come across a new brand. Actually, the brand is not completely new on the market, although it is for me and as far as I know, for Sweden. Anyway, let me introduce the Cuda Brand!

The focus of their products actually falls a little to the side of what I normally use. The focus is on knives and other gadgets for fishing!

It is with that in mind that this set of knives should be considered. But even for those who don't fish, it can be a good set for handling e.g. meat and some outdoor cooking, I thought. Then, of course, fish appears in the cooking at home, and then a good fillet knife is a welcome feature.

The set includes four knives, a sharpening system, and a bag

The first impressions were extremely positive as the knives are more solid than I expected. The handles are well-shaped and at first glance feel comfortable to hold and handle. It remains to be seen how the ergonomics behave when you actually use the knives. But the basic conditions are undeniably there. A combination of good shape with a generous recess for the index finger and a material combination consisting of plastic and rubber provides a good grip.

Then Cuda Brand pushes in its advertising that the knives are full-tang and that they are "Titanium Bonded", whatever they mean by the latter. But that refers to the steel which is basically a fairly simple German 1.4116. A steel that is, however, used a lot in the context of kitchen knives and which is known to be very resistant to rust. A property that trumps quite a lot when it comes to the intended area of use in the vicinity of water and especially salty dito.

The knives feel capable is the first impression

This is a set that includes four knives as well as a field sharpener. The knives are distributed on a small "Bait knife" intended for preparation and preparation of bait. A filet knife and a boning knife are also found in the bag. It was especially the latter that made me think that the set can be used for more than just fish. The kit ends with a stronger knife with a thicker neck, which is also serrated. It is intended for tougher tasks such as cutting ropes and nets as well as sawing half-frozen bait with it.

Overall, I have to say that I believe in this set of knives from Cuda Brand. Especially as both the included bag and the knives feel well-made. It will be fun to test them in the future. In addition, it can be added that I probably have to include selected parts of the family in the evaluation. There you will find some real big fishers who can contribute valuable opinions.
