This knife called the L.E. One from Italian Lionsteel is special in more ways than one. A rather obvious area is the appearance as for the knife enthusiast it is clearly a Karambit. It is their first foray into that area.
This style of knife itself is a bit unusual as it is actually a type of knife that originates from Sumatra. A knife for combat and self-defense in martial arts such as Pentjak Silat. The origin can be simplistically said to be a rice cutter that was given a more distinctive appearance to become a better weapon.

But the step from there to a folding knife from Italy is quite a long one. Sometimes this type of folding variant is called "Western karambit". We are then referring to much smaller knives than the originals and they are often folding knives to be easier to carry.
If this type of knife is new to Lionsteel, the intended area of use is just as rare as it is said to be an EDC knife, i.e. a pocket knife intended for daily use. Whether that's true or whether it's said to appease potential legislators, I'll leave it unsaid.
But truth be told, it is nothing more than a knife with a hawkbill blade. Yes, and a ring at one end, of course. So it should work for that type of usage too.

In addition, this knife is quite a rare bird in a number of other areas. Incidentally, it is designed by Ernest Emerson and thus comes with the "Wave function". It is not unique to the knife world but has not been used by Lionsteel before to my knowledge.
The unusual thing is that this knife can be opened in a number of different ways, including a flipper. This is where all the technology from Lionsteel comes into play. The flipper tab itself can be removed if you feel like it.
Furthermore, the knife is made with their SOLID technology, which means that the LE One is integral, i.e. the entire handle is milled from a single piece of metal, aluminum in this case. It also follows that the knife is a frame lock but not in titanium.
The package is rounded off by housing a very interesting steel selection in Magnacut. So all in all, this is a very unique and extremely interesting knife. A review will follow, be sure!!
