There's something strange about the weather. It's been midsummer heat here for a couple of days now. It shouldn't be like that at the beginning of May. The good thing about it is that the green has just exploded. The trees that were completely bare last week now have leaves. It went by quickly.
The calendar now says May instead of April. Time flies whether you like it or not. Although it's something I've barely noticed. I've spent most of the last few weeks at the knife-throwing range. It's been a lot of hours! Of course, there's a reason for that. The nice weather is just part of it.
| Spring flowers and knives, not a bad combination. Especially not if they are enjoyed with a cup of coffee. Here, the Al Mar B21 Folder is the companion. |
Things are happening elsewhere, too. Not on a personal level, or at least on a work level, that's where things stand still. I'm still waiting to get into my education. That's one of the other reasons for a lot of throwing.
As for the blog, however, it's full steam ahead. As you've noticed, several knives have been reviewed lately, a couple of which happened to be of the Shilin Cutters type. More knives are in the queue, although not of that type; the closest in time are products from Civivi, Al Mar, Artisan Cutlery, and QSP.
The latter brand had to wait a bit for its turn after a reshuffle in the planning. It's about a review of the Jumping Jack. The first copy of the knife has disappeared. It's not that I don't know roughly where it is. But, how should I put it, it's a bit difficult to access. I was supposed to take a nice picture that included sprouting greenery and water. Then it happened that the knife disappeared into the lake in a place that is both deep and muddy. Goodbye to that knife.
It was only a matter of time before it would happen. A bit like when I once placed a Fällkniven U2 in the mountains. I know exactly where it is. Unfortunately between a couple of boulders that weigh about thirty or forty tons or so, each. That's how it can go when you photograph knives.
Another, and for me very positive part of blogging is that the number of visits to this site, despite the impossible name for English speakers, has completely exploded. Once upon a time, the number of visits used to be between 6 and 7000 per month. Then there was a jump up to 10-12000, and now it's completely crazy. Last month, according to Blogger's statistics, I had 136,000 visits! It's not just a spike either; the trend has held up for a few months now.
That's motivating, so now I'll keep working hard!
See you on the interwebs and maybe at a knife-throwing competition?
