New Knife - Civivi Qubit

While we're still on the subject of "Button locks" and knives from the WE/Civivi/Sencut group, it was just as well to get one more. This time Civivi is the brand and the model is called Qubit.

Like the knife I recently presented from Sencut, this also has the aluminum handle in common except for the lock construction. There are a few more similarities, such as the flat-ground blade. But of course, there are also differences.

This little beauty from Civivi is as blue as the sea in summer

The most obvious is shape and size. The appearance is chubbier and the Qubit is a significantly smaller knife than its relative, the blade measures 7.5 cm and the total length of the knife amounts to just over eighteen centimeters. Together with the light handle, this results in a knife that weighs a modest 80 g.

The blade steel found is Swedish in the form of 14C28N. The most fascinating thing about it is that they chose to make the knife optimal for cutting. Combining a full flat grind from a material thickness of only 2.3 mm and the choice to keep the amount of steel behind the edge makes this knife a joy to cut with.

More detailed tests are to be carried out. But this knife really has potential in that area. Fit and finish meet the usual high Civivi standard. Initially, there is nothing at all to comment on in that way.

All in all, first impressions are great!
