New Knife - Viper Belone

There was actually a second knife in the package I recently received from Italy. Not just the Novis but another knife I was really looking forward to. I, like many others, like Jesper Voxnaes designs and if you do this knife is almost a must have. So much Voxnaes while at the same time have a very Italian feel to it. There is no doubt that Voxnaes has studied a number of local Italian knife patterns to arrive at this look. An unusually successful collaboration between Viper and Voxnaes.

This knife from Viper Knives is called Belone.

As usual with models from Viper, the knife is available in several different variants, in this case six. Three with titanium sides and three featuring carbon fiber sides. This is the version with bronze anodized titanium frame and sides in titanium. 

What makes the knife a bit special is that it is almost a frame lock, so to speak, with just thin titanium sides over the frame. It is presented as a liner lock though. But this is a variant where the lock bar is thicker than the sides. The lock is made of titanium and the steel in the blade is the exclusive Böhler M390.

Overall, an exciting knife both in terms of construction and appearance. It is also very well built, easy to carry and practical. All first impressions are good. Now it must also be used before it is time for an assessment
