New Knife - SRM 168L

Simple, practical, and well-made is probably the first thing that comes to my mind after unpacking and inspecting this knife from SRM. The model has been named 168L.

It may not stand out much regarding materials or components, nor is the appearance extravagant. Or rather it is fairly neutral. The lines flow reasonably well and you think you can see a bit of Sebenza proportions in the blade, albeit a bit shorter and taller, I won't object.

Otherwise, as I said, it is a well-constructed knife. The handling, both in terms of opening and closing, feels pleasant and the lock gives a sympathetic impression. Incidentally, it is SRM's usual cross-bar interpretation called "Ambi lock". With the purchase, you also get the more original "Ambi Clip". A clip that can be removed or changed sides without tools. A really good clip as, in addition to that finesse, it also works very well as a clip.

The handle material is G10 and it is found on the outside of a lightened steel frame. At the other end is a blade made of classic D2. The blade length is 86 mm and the total length of the knife is 198 mm. The weight is around 113g. A not quite small knife, in other words, without being excessively large.

A knife which, as it is not one of the most expensive either, is well suited for those looking for a good everyday companion. At least that's what I think. I intend to return with a review at a later date.
