If the previous knife I presented from QSP had a fairly exclusive appearance with its handle in "aluminum foil carbon fiber" and blade in S35VN steel, then this knife is another couple of notches up in the hierarchy.
I go so far as to claim that this is the most luxurious product that QSP has achieved so far. The knife is called Legatus.
In addition to a happy sticker, additional storage is found inside the sturdy box |
What emerges is the result of a collaboration between DBW and QSP |
Legatus is a knife that is the result of a collaboration between Cees Kaan and Toni Oostendorp from Dutch DBW or Dutch Blade Works and QSP.

The result is spectacular. The design is bold yet elegant. Nice to look at but practical. In order to carry out the project, they have not directly skimped on the materials either. Or how about a titanium handle with inserts in a mix of carbon fiber / colored G10. The inserts are also found on both sides of the handle and not just on the presentation side, which is otherwise more common even on finer knives.
Add ceramic bearings and detent ball, a so-called "sculpted" titanium clip, and not least a blade in Böhler M390 to the mix and you have a highly competent knife. Not least as it seems very well built and that it is a joy to handle with excellent "action". Then it feels very comfortable in the hand too.
Only positive first impressions in other words. It remains to be seen if it lives up to the expectations it has created. Something tells me it does.
