New Knife - QSP Penguin Ti

The "original penguin" is already in my collection and it has been reviewed here on the blog. That knife rightly received very good reviews. Later it has turned out that it is not just me who holds those opinions and the model has therefore become very popular. The sales success has meant that QSP has chosen to do as some other companies and increase the number of versions of the model.

Always nice with a greeting!

The Titan version of Penguin

That's why the Penguin is now available in as many as thirty-four versions, if I did not miscalculate. THERE is a lot of it so most flavors are likely to be satisfied.

Since I am very fond of my first Penguin, I could not help but see if an upgraded version was something for me. This is the Titan version of that knife.

The handle material also comes with some other changes. The overall shape is of course still there, but the lock is no longer a liner lock but a frame lock in this version. It's the most visible change, even if it gets competition from the clip, which went from shiny spring steel to a "sculpted" one in titanium.

The most practical difference, however, is that the blade steel is upgraded. Now 154CM is used instead of D2. Stainless steel instead of tool steel in other words. Besides that, it can be said that the blade runs on ceramic bearings and is opened with thumb studs.

The finish is as usual with knives from QSP really good and the feeling when handled promises good for the future. Will there be a review of this knife? You bet it will!
