In the line of new knives from Camillus, you can find this one called Tanto in short. Or "Ti Tanto 8.25" because the whole series got that addition after the coating found on the blade.
I don't mind the coating itself, just the bullshit they've had a marketer make up about it making the blade "/../ up to 10x harder than untreated steel". A bigger pile of bullshit is hard to imagine. Unfortunately, it is also claimed on the website that the steel is to be considered a "super steel" as it is VG10. Maybe it was twenty-five years ago. Today it is not.

But if we disregard sales texts, the knife appears to be really nice. As I said, it has decent materials as, in addition to a blackened VG10 blade, G10 is found in the handle. The build quality also seems to be alright and something I appreciate is the simple and stripped down design. It looks a little retro, but in a good way. The knife also feels very good in the hand and is easy to carry because it is thin.
Overall an interesting pocket knife from Camillus' new venture. If you think it's too big, it measures 8.25 inches as the name suggests, it's also available in a smaller version.
