New Knife - ANV A200

Those of you who also follow me on Instagram have already seen this knife as it has appeared there . The model comes as both the pictures and the title say from Czech Acta non verba Knives or ANV as it is abbreviated. For those who don't know, it means "deeds not words" by the way.

The model is their latest and perhaps most advanced folding knife so far and it has been named the A200.

In fact, the model has already spawned so there is also an A100 at the time of writing. The difference is found in the handle materials. FRN in the simpler one hundred model and G10 in this case. The G10 material is handled quite interestingly in this knife as it is very rough in parts and quite smooth in others. An interesting way to solve the detail with better traction.

The handle is also interesting because it has no supporting frame but only a partial one like some knives from Benchmade. This is also where the inspiration for ANV's "A-Lock" comes from. It is simply an Axis derivative but a very good one. Furthermore, the frame is lightened despite the lack of a full frame. This results in a very light and well-balanced knife.

Then other technical details are found such as ANV's interpretation of a wire clip which has also been improved. Something I will go into in a future review. The thumb stud is also special as it is one-sided but removable and incorporates the usual luminescent dot in the middle.

The blade is also advanced with a fine Swedish Sleipner steel which is also provided with a surface treatment of DLC. Overall, it makes for a visually appealing, technically fairly advanced knife that sparks interest.
