"Is this a dagger which I see before me?" wondered or rather stated Macbeth before everything went sideways. In this case, you might actually wonder. Fox Knives' new Tactical Elementum Dagger undeniably looks like a double-edged dagger. But despite the look, it can possibly be argued that this isn't a dagger. The blade can also be considered a spear point with only one edge and a serrated back. It sounds a little less aggressive, at least to my ears. But the symmetrical shape and the name undeniably speak against that interpretation.
But what do we really think about the word "tactical"? I'm torn, but of course, this knife can probably be used in all applications. Even those who can conceivably contain that word for real. But that is not the only thing the knife seems to be able to do.

The first impressions say that the knife is very light for its size and well balanced. The two features make it extremely nimble in the hand. The stated 335 g on the website applies neither to the knife nor as a complete package. The knife weighs just 99 g and a total of 180g with the sheath. Then the factory edge is really sharp and the same can be said about the serrated edge that really long to sink the teeth in the nearest rope. Now that's more like it!
Because despite appearance with the blade blackened by Idroglider, Elementum gives a fairly practical impression. It cuts well, the little I have tried it so far and it is easy to carry. Especially as the included Kydex sheath comes with a Teklok-like solution for attaching the knife to a belt or other equipment. The combination of N690Co steel and a coated blade also provides a knife that can handle a lot of moisture before it stains, which is always a good thing. Especially if you are close to the sea. The handle is also durable at the same time as it provides a good grip with a core of "PP" (polypropylene) overdone with "TPE" (Thermo rubber). Similar handles are found on some Mora knives and Fällkniven products, for example.
Fox Knives has in my opinion managed to produce a dagger that is not just a "one-trick pony". This knife has more than one ace up its sleeve, I believe.
